This past February, I took part in the Creative and Emergent Technology Institute's group exhibition at the Portland Winter Light Festival. During a pre-festival hackathon, CETI members split into groups to brainstorm and prototype. My group, comprised of Bernardo Pantoja, Nick Rivas, and myself, came up with "Embers," an interactive video piece with a holographic fire, which one could "tend" to influence the imagery projected onto a fabric screen. We combined LeapMotion with Isadora to map certain hand gestures to video parameters to achieve this.
I also designed some of the imagery used in our web and e-invitations.
